KISS OF SNOW - REVIEW

Kiss of Snow by Nalini Singh
Hawke and Sienna

This highly anticipated instalment is the 10th in the PSY-Changeling series.

Firstly it covers all areas of human emotion while building the perfect relationship of (hmm) attraction, shear frustration, playfulness, heartbreak, loyalty and undeniable love.

The world of PSY Changelings and Human Nalini Singh has built is a wonderful one to immerse your imagination in, you can see the characters stepping out of the pages (Umm and how great they are).

Anyways getting back to Hawke, as alpha he could have anyone, but has found from the moment Sienna appeared. His wolf as waited for her to come of age, and now it’s here he’s doing everything he can to avoid it. While on the other side Sienna is doing everything she can to get him to look beyond the girl to see both the woman and solider she is. There were times I just wanted to lock them both in a room till they worked it out or killed each other.

The current Katy Perry song “Last Friday Night” came to mind in the scenes at Joes Bar, I just wanted to yell “You go girl!”. (or maybe it was a flash back to a misspent youth). Also I find I am constantly amazed with the few authors in this kind of romance that find a different path to swearing – “He bit back a very blue word” or “He coloured the air blue”.

The secondary relationship between Walker and Lara, was a nice addition helping the book move through scenes with the den healer.

I enjoyed this book, the mixing of the Cats and Wolfs along with that of the Rats and the Hawks brought the relationship level of Changelings up notch in their ability to be able to defended themselves on a wide scale. Add that to the growing number of PSY that are looking for more than just silence. And you have a great breeding ground for the battle to come.

I’d like to see the Ghost meet someone he becomes attached to, not necessarily a relationship with a woman maybe a friendship with a child who is not PSY. And maybe a secondary relationship with the Rat Alpha, as I would like to know more about the network he’s built.

This is a book that will warm up your night to sizzling point
